- Group and individual therapy
- Cognitive behavioral therapy
- Experiential exercises
- Daily dosing
- Case management
We provide an atmosphere of respect, empathy, and hope for women and men whose lives have been adversely affected by addiction and mental illness. In the Hub Program at Starting Now, clients find the support they need to learn and practice the skills that will lead to a healthier life. We believe that recovery from substance dependence is a voluntarily maintained lifestyle characterized by sobriety, personal health and citizenship. We recognize and make use of client strengths to support recovery.
Services
The Brattleboro Retreat Buprenorphine Clinic is an Opioid Treatment Program that dispenses Buprenorphine (Suboxone/Subutex). We are an integrated collaboration with Habit OPCO in Brattleboro, also an OTP, which dispenses methadone. This partnership is sometimes called the Southeast Vermont Regional Addiction Specialty Center. As an OTP, sometimes referred to as a Hub, we provide the following integrated package of services:
- Evaluation by counseling and medical staff and determination of which addiction and co-occurring treatment services and medications are most appropriate for each individual
- We are a collaboration with Habit OPCO in Brattleboro, and we cooperate to start people on the medication (methadone or Suboxone) that is right for each person
- Induction onto Suboxone
- Support and stabilization
- Daily dosing of Suboxone between 6:00 AM – 9:30 AM
- Take-home Suboxone dosing for stable clients who meet specific requirements
- Drug testing
- Group and individual counseling
- Referral to “Spoke” Providers when indicated
- Support and consultation for regional Suboxone prescribers
Participation and attendance in groups and individual appointments are part of Hub Services. Clients are expected to attend groups on a weekly basis or more frequently, depending on individual circumstances. Treatment goals will be developed with an individual counselor.
